The Employer may terminate the employment of a probationary employee at any time during the probationary period, and such action is not subject to the grievance procedure.An employee’s probationary period may be extended by up to six (6) months.It is recommended that the employee complete an employee evaluation and discuss it with the employee about three (3) months into his/her employment.This period is to allow the Employer the opportunity to observe and assess the employee’s work and to train and aid the employee in adjusting to the position in order to determine if the employee will be granted permanent status in the position.
